May I introduce to you – this is my friend Mgongo!
Mgongo is the word for “back” in Swahili. Swahili is an African language and as I love South Africa and I prefer Mgongo a lot rather than back or intervertebral disk, I baptized my back “Mgongo”!

When I first met Mgongo more than 25 years ago, he resembled a dangerous enemy, a monster that hurt me, prevented me from enjoying life and caused a lot of fear. When I imagined Mgongo at that time he was a disgusting, disagreeable, evil gnome and I really didn't want to be concerned with him in any way. |
| Today Mgongo is my loyal friend, my companion, my personal early warning system, someone who is always there, and someone whom I can rely on. Someone who always tells me if something goes wrong in my life and whose advice I like to take!! |
